REFINE series:
“REFINE” is created to contribute to solve the problem of marine pollution (one of the many environmental problems that we have today) by recycling used Fishing nets which no longer needed and is disposed. "REFINE" is a coined word composed of the acronym of Reuse Fishing Net. It also has the meaning of refine (removing and purifying impurities).

About Marugame Uchiwa:
This Uchiwa is made from a giant timber bamboo grown in Kagawa Prefecture and the leaves are made of Japanese Awa washi paper.
As the largest Japanese Uchiwa fan producer, it has been recognized for its production capacity and various designs since the Edo period. The red emblem on the package is a proof that the Uchiwa fan has been handmade in Japan, which is certified by the Kagawa Prefecture Uchiwa Cooperative Association. In 1997, Marugame Uchiwa fans were registered as Japanese Traditional Crafts by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
